I was very frustrated thoughout my reading by his constant belittling of the idea of creationism, based on the lack of scientific information to support a young earth (and overwhelming information to support an old earth), though Hugh Ross is never mentioned. If you can look at yourself & see the humour in that situation, you'll appreciate Henry Rollins spin on things.. This ONE man was so…jeez, incredible…the Navy high command sought him out and put exclusive responsibility for the formation of a new combat force in his very capable hands, as well as determining all the requisite training and outfitting, including the infamous Hell Week. Most stories in this collection are very short (4 to 6 pages or so). There was no character development and no plot development at all. I'm very happy with this decision.
