One reason may be that many cited cases are obviously from colleagues' projects although the author consistently writes from a first-person perspective. That's not necessarily a bad thing.. It is much clearer than that. I consider this book one of a small handful that really goes to the core of understanding trauma and its influence. If they did not make such a big issue of the measure being quantitative I would not have become so disillusioned with the book at such an early stage. Readers will turn into activists by the close of her book.
